Fall as in line or love

Drawing out as conclusions

Break like waves

My first approach to this was think of water waves. When water waves break it is something like this - energy traveling through the water causes it to take a form which eventually becomes unstable and 'breaks.'

First recipe -
to try break like a wave one must first become like water - able to take various forms. To do this I would confine myself in various vessels of different size and shape. Several vessels would be used for between ten and twenty minutes. This amount of time was chosen to give enough time to conform to the vessel yet not become rigid in that form. After this I would attempt to shift myself gradually into forms that move from stable to unstable configurations. An example would be to stand or sit balanced and extend an appendage until toppling.

Second Recipe - sounds waves can be thought of as breaking as well but my notion of how they break is more one of reflection - sound waves bounce of of things until their energy is exhausted. Recipe two involves finding a way to get energized and then bouncing off my surroundings until temporarily exhausted.

Fall in love / in line
Falling in love is something I have been training myself to deal with since puberty. I thought I had got it under control, conditioned it out of me. But then last year I got smacked in the face with love again and had to cauterize that wound (bleeding your desires all over the floor is so unattractive). So I think I have my love is sort of in line, but it is difficult for me to think of these terms outside of the strong feelings of my history. Mary suggested that I fall in love in line at the humane society. The last time I did this I almost ended up with a husky. She also suggested falling in love in line for the bathroom at the pub. I have looked for love there before but found it only drains my bank account and tends to send me to the doctors office in a panic (Don't worry, it wasn't what I thought it was).
Perhaps for this one I could try to fall in love with some thing instead of someone. I have fallen in love with things I have made before. In fact I think this may be an important facet of making. Falling in love with one's work is what ensures proper time is spent. This too however, is nothing new for me. Perhaps for this one I could fall in love with a rock or something from a trash can.

Second Recipe for 'Fall'
To fall as though in love or in line is to give oneself over to some external force. In the sense of love this is perhaps an amorous desire; to fall in line is to come into conformity. In either case it is to be strongly influenced by some external force. The recipe for this version of Fall is to smoke five cigarettes each day until an addiction is developed. The love/hate relationship that I have had when smoking regularly feels pretty close what I imagine to fall as in love/in line; it is something that one very much desires and also exerts a strong shaping influence. Moreover this kind of thing can blind you to its consequences.

Drawing as in Conclusions:
I do this shit too much. It can be limiting to come to the same analysis all the time. Perhaps if I suspend my normal processes of logic/rationality I can come to  different conclusions than those that I frequent . The recipe for this one is to think not in the normal language or syntax of my current thought processes for a period long enough for a shift in cognition (a day might do). By establishing a different 'grammar' new mental outcomes become possible.
